Zantech is looking for an Army Enterprise Architect specializing in cost management, to play a critical role in aligning technology solutions with financial efficiency. As an Army Enterprise Architect for Cost Management, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping technology investments to achieve financial efficiency and operational excellence.

You’ll work at the intersection of IT strategy, business processes, and cost optimization. Your expertise will contribute to effective resource allocation, budget adherence, and mission success.

Responsibilities:

  1. Cost-Effective Solution Design:
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand Army requirements and financial constraints.
    • Design enterprise-level solutions that balance functionality, performance, and cost.
    • Evaluate existing systems and propose enhancements to optimize cost-effectiveness.
  2. Financial Modeling and Analysis:
    • Develop financial models to assess the impact of technology investments.
    • Analyze total cost of ownership (TCO) for proposed solutions.
    • Provide cost-benefit analyses for decision-making.
  3. Budget Alignment:
    • Work closely with Army leadership to align IT initiatives with budgetary goals.
    • Ensure that technology investments support strategic objectives.
    • Monitor project budgets and recommend adjustments as needed.
  4. Risk Mitigation:
    • Identify financial risks related to technology projects.
    • Propose risk mitigation strategies to prevent cost overruns.
    • Monitor project execution to stay within budgetary limits.
  5. Enterprise Architecture Governance:
    • Define and enforce architecture standards and principles.
    • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and policies.
    • Collaborate with other architects to maintain consistency across systems.
  6. Vendor Management:
    • Evaluate vendor proposals and negotiate contracts.
    • Assess vendor solutions for cost-effectiveness and alignment with Army needs.
    • Monitor vendor performance and cost metrics.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fields. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency in enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman).
    • Strong analytical abilities and strategic thinking.
    • Knowledge of financial management principles.
  • Experience:
    • At least 6-7 years of experience in enterprise architecture or related roles.
    • Familiarity with Army financial systems and cost management practices.
