Zantech is looking for a SQL Systems Engineer to lead all the support for the multiple Microsoft SQL databases for this upcoming Army program.
Responsibilities include, but will not be limited to:
- This person will ensure that the team updates and maintains software and security patches for both COTS and in house software, all operating systems and hardware for both on-prem and cloud environments.
- Ensure operational availability of SQL database services is integrated with the least possible downtime, some of these databases with sensitive information are encrypted.
- Ensure all planning, change management and testing are completed with supporting documentation, team/client communication and with minimal downtime.
- Metrics are updated, maintained and provided.
Required Experience or Knowledge of the following technologies/functions:
- 10+ years’ experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related scientific or technical discipline
- IAT II Certification - CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP
- Advanced MS SQL 2008 R2 Administration
- Configuration and Tuning, Advanced Windows 2008R2 tuning for MS SQL 2008R2
- Intermediate/Advanced Windows 2008R2 Administration and Configuration
- Advanced DISA Gold, Army Gold Master configurations on MS SQL 2008 Databases
- Intermediate App Detective MS SQL 2008 scanning and remediating according to Industry best practices
Required Security Clearance:
Active SECRET or higher clearance based on contract requirements
